Amir Dan RubinChair, Chief Executive Officer & PresidentAmir Dan Rubin has focused his career on transforming health care. Through One Medical’s human-centered and technology-powered model, he serves on a team dedicated to delighting members with better health and better care, while reducing total costs. Previously, as an EVP and divisional CEO at UnitedHealth Group’s Optum division, he oversaw a number of areas focused on helping to make the health system work better. Amir also previously served as president and CEO of Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, where he helped raise patient experience and quality scores to the highest levels in the nation, grow a regional network of care settings, and advance digital health and corporate partnerships. Amir also previously served as COO for UCLA Health, as COO for Stony Brook University Medical Center, and in leadership roles at Memorial Hermann Health System. He has twice been recognized as an EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Northern California. He holds MBA and MHSA degrees from the University of Michigan, and a BA from UC Berkeley.

Bjorn ThalerChief Financial OfficerBjorn oversees the financial strategy and operations for One Medical. Leveraging more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, private equity investing, and investment banking, Bjorn ensures the company strategically invests in One Medical’s continued growth, while maintaining financial discipline. Prior to joining One Medical, Bjorn was with CVS Health/Aetna, where he served as CFO of Transformation and SVP of Corporate Development & Enterprise Economics. He also worked in a number of senior financial leadership roles at Aetna, including CFO of Consumer and Healthcare Services and VP of Treasury and Corporate Development. He also helped shepherd the deal of CVS’ acquisition of Aetna. Bjorn has deep experience in investment banking from his time at Barclays Capital/Lehman Brothers and Citigroup. He holds a law degree from the University of Vienna and an MBA from the University of Economics in Vienna, Austria and the University of South Carolina.

Kimber LockhartChief Technology OfficerOne Medical’s chief technology officer, leads the Engineering, Product, IT, and Security teams, which are responsible for scaling the technology innovations that underpin One Medical’s reinvented doctor’s office experience. Kimber has also spearheaded the development of the company’s first-of-its-kind, fully connected health engagement platform. Prior to joining One Medical, Kimber was co-founder and CEO of Increo Solutions, which was acquired by Box in 2009. At Box, Kimber served as Senior Director of Engineering, leading a number of teams that directly accelerated the commercial success of the company. Kimber has been named to Business Insider’s Top 30 Leaders Under 40 Changing Healthcare and Modern Healthcare’s 25 Emerging Leaders list for her leadership in healthcare technology innovation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University.

Rajneesh (Raj) Behal, MD, MPHChief Quality OfficerRaj, a practicing doctor, is focused on delivering exceptional healthcare for individuals and populations as the chief quality officer. He leads the quality and safety, value and innovation, and data science teams. Raj brings over 17 years of experience in leading clinical outcomes improvement in a variety of settings. Previously, he served as chief quality officer, associate dean for quality, and clinical professor of medicine at Stanford. Prior to that, Raj was the patient safety officer and associate chief medical officer at Rush University Medical Center — helping them achieve top national rankings on outcomes and efficiency among academic medical centers. He teaches physician leadership development programs at Harvard, Stanford, and UC San Diego. Raj attended medical school at Rush, completed a fellowship in healthcare informatics at Harvard and MIT, and earned his MPH in clinical effectiveness at Harvard University.

Andrew Diamond, MD, PhDChief Medical OfficerAndrew, a practicing primary care physician, joined One Medical in the company's infancy in 2007. Over the course of his tenure at One Medical, he has been a driving force in developing the practice’s philosophy and approach to care, designing our clinical systems, and maintaining our human-centered culture. Andrew has served as the company’s national medical director since 2016, ensuring our clinicians have joyful and fulfilling careers and deliver the highest-quality care and service to our members. Andrew holds a BS in biological sciences from Stanford University, and an MD as well as a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Colorado. He completed his medical training at Stanford and is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Jenni VargasChief Strategy OfficerJenni is responsible for payer and health systems relations, new service line development, and real estate. Before joining One Medical, she was at Stanford Health Care for ten years, where she was the Chief Strategy Officer. Jenni led business development, marketing, digital health, and government and community relations. During her time there, she led the development of Stanford Health Care Alliance, an accountable care organization purchased by Google, Cisco, and Stanford University. Previously, Jenni spent 20 years at publicly traded payers in general management positions. Jenni holds a bachelor's degree in human biology from Stanford University and an MBA from UCLA.

Doug GundersonSVP, OperationsDoug is focused on providing the very highest level of care and service for every One Medical member, each and every time they interact with us. Prior to joining One Medical, Doug served as Vice President of Strategic Operations at Optum, Chief Operating Officer at Stanford Health Care ValleyCare, and Vice President of Clinical Operations at Stanford Health Care. In addition, Doug was the Chief Administrative Officer at UCLA Medical Center Santa Monica, Executive Director of Operative Services, and founding Director of the UCLA Performance Excellence Department. Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Colorado.

John SingerlingChief Network OfficerJohn spearheads One Medical’s national efforts to build impactful partnerships with well-respected health systems across the nation. Aiming to make seamless connections between primary care and specialists, John partners to ensure we intentionally design and create a personalized and delightful experience for each patient as they navigate their healthcare journey. Prior to One Medical, John was President of Palmetto Health in South Carolina, which merged with Greenville Health to become Prisma Health. John holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of South Carolina.

Christine MoreheadChief People OfficerChristine has been instrumental in developing the people experience department from the ground-up, which consists of HR, recruiting, credentialing, internal communications, corporate facilities, and employee events. She has experience with rapid-growth companies and brings innovative HR solutions to meet the needs of quickly growing organizations. Prior to joining, Christine served as a founding member of the Virgin America team that brought the company from incubation to an award-winning airline. Christine has a bachelor of business administration degree with an emphasis in human resources from Pace University and earned her master’s degree in human resources from Mount Saint Mary College.

Doug SweenyChief Marketing OfficerDoug is responsible for marketing strategy, growth, and the brand story at One Medical. Doug brings deep experience across a variety of business categories and led marketing for iconic brands like Nest, Levi’s and Adidas. In 2018, he was selected by Forbes as a top 50 CMO. As CMO of Google’s Nest, Doug oversaw every aspect of the brand's consumer experience from an early start-up to becoming a household name. At Levi’s, he was VP of Global Marketing across 110 countries. Doug is also a senior advisor to Google Ventures and a variety of startups, a frequent guest lecturer at Stanford School of Business, and a Syracuse University iSchool board member. Doug holds a bachelor’s degree in consumer studies from Syracuse University.

Jamie McLeodSVP, One Medical for BusinessJamie oversees One Medical’s enterprise sales and client services operations. His team creates lasting relationships with thousands of employers. Employer clients look to One Medical to provide the best possible longitudinal access to care for their workforce. Jamie’s initiatives help educate employers about the inherent value of using One Medical’s modernized primary care model which lower the cost of care and improve patient outcomes. Jamie previously held the position of SVP of Sales & Business Development at Virgin Pulse, an employee well-being solutions company. He holds a master’s degree in economics and politics from the University of Edinburgh.

Lisa MangoGeneral CounselLeading the legal and compliance teams, Lisa is responsible for all legal and regulatory affairs at One Medical. She brings broad legal and commercial experience to the team, having acted as a senior legal adviser for a number of public and private businesses, ranging from large technology and services companies to early venture-backed enterprises. Prior to joining One Medical, Lisa was a senior legal department leader at Autodesk for several years. Lisa earned her JD from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a bachelor of arts in public policy from Duke University.
