Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who complete master’s-level training and board certification and who practice medicine independently. Related degrees include ANP (Adult Nurse Practitioner), FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner), WHNP (Women's Health Nurse Practitioner), and APNP (Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner).
I became a nurse practitioner in primary care because I want to empower my patients to take charge of their health, physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually. I take a holistic approach to wellness and believe in shared decision-making with my clients to best achieve their health goals. I am passionate about women's health, LGBQT+ care, HIV prevention/PrEP, and addiction medicine.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy spending time outside running or taking walks with my family. One of my passions is cooking, so you can find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes and serving food to those I love.
