Early in my nursing career I discovered a passion for working with seniors and addressing the complex issue of polypharmacy. This led me to pursue and successfully earn my Adult/Gerontology Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from UNCG in 2018 and I haven't looked back since! My approach encompasses building strong patient relationships, transparent communication, and shared decision-making to help seniors identify their health priorities and engage actively in their care. Fueled by the enduring vitality of my own grandparents, aged 98, 97, and 90, I am driven to ensure that each patient can enjoy a high quality of life throughout their golden years. My advocacy centers around guiding patients towards lifestyle adjustments that minimize the need for unnecessary medications, reducing the pill burden and enhancing overall well-being. As I continue on this path, I remain dedicated to fostering education, communication, and patient empowerment, all of which are fundamental to my holistic approach to geriatric healthcare and allow me to contribute meaningfully to the lives of those I serve.

How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy hiking with my dogs, yoga and pilates, good food, healthy baking, relaxing out in nature, and spending quality time with friends and family.
