Physician Assistant, an advanced practice degree for primary care providers who undergo extensive practical training and board certification, and are licensed to practice medicine including the full range of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
My approach to healthcare is grounded in collaboration and open communication. I enjoy partnering with my patients in their healthcare and wellness and developing treatment plans through shared decision-making and evidence-based medicine. My interests and expertise include reproductive and sexual health, transgender care, HIV treatment and prevention, mental health, public health and health equity and advocacy. I bring experience in acute/urgent care and wilderness medicine from several years working as a medical officer in Yosemite National Park. I have an additional focus on chronic disease management and preventive health. I am a native to the Austin area and am excited to take care of our community.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy biking around town, getting outdoors on hiking and camping trips, traveling, socializing with friends, trying all the wonderful food and drink that Austin has to offer, and spending time with my partner, our families and our pets.
