Catherine McDonald, MD
Tempe
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
I’m a primary care physician who enjoys delving into my patients’ stories to better understand them and help uncover the root of complex or unclear health concerns. My approach to healthcare is centered on listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and working collaboratively to take the next best step—whether that means treating an urgent issue, beginning a deeper evaluation, or offering reassurance and perspective. I take time to ensure my patients feel heard, informed, and supported in their care.
I’m especially passionate about preventive health and chronic care management, and I enjoy helping my patients maintain healthy, high-quality lives over time. I also recognize that new science is emerging every day, and I’m committed to staying up to date so I can provide thoughtful, evidence-based care. My goal is to partner with my patients in a way that supports their overall well-being and helps them feel confident in their health journey.

How I stay healthy and happy
Spending time with my husband and baby girl renews my spirit every day. We recently moved to Phoenix from Los Angeles to be closer to my family. I grew up in Phoenix, and am looking forward to connecting with the desert again. I enjoy hiking and would have loved to be a mountaineer in a different life.
