Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or DOs, are fully licensed and board-certified physicians who practice in all areas of medicine. DOs emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and receive extra training in the musculoskeletal system called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). DOs at One Medical typically practice in the field of family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine, and may also integrate OMT.
I began practicing medicine in 2019 with a focus on family medicine, and clinical interest in osteopathic manipulative medicine, neuromusculoskeletal medicine and preventive medicine. I am board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine. I received my undergraduate degree at the University of California Santa Cruz, and completed the Pre-Health Post-Baccalaureate Certification Program at San Francisco State University. I attended medical school at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ. I completed a family medicine residency at Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields, IL, and a second residency in neuromusculoskeletal medicine at Midwestern University Multispecialty Clinic in Glendale, AZ. I empower patients to partner in their healthcare by providing education, utilizing preventive guidelines, and exploring treatment options to assist in living to their full potential. To that effect, I employ an osteopathic, comprehensive approach to patient care in order to facilitate patients in managing their health rather than disease. In addition to medical management, I utilize osteopathic manipulative treatments in numerous aspects of patient care, whether it be for integrative pain management, enhancing range of motion, and/or restoring health within musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neuropathic, or lymphatic disorders.
How I stay healthy and happy
I enjoy stretching, reading, ballroom dancing, resistance exercise. In my free time, I also enjoy traveling with family, exploring local cuisine, camping, hiking, teaching and precepting medical students and residents, coffee roasting, domino tournaments, and playing with my son.
