DOs emphasize a whole-person approach to treatment and receive extra training in the musculoskeletal system called osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). DOs at One Medical typically practice in the field of family medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine, and may also integrate OMT.

Geetha takes a holistic approach to help patients be their healthiest because both mental and physical well-being are necessary to thrive. She believes in listening to each patient and collaborating with them on an individualized plan to help them achieve their goals for better health. As an osteopathic physician, she encourages patients to seek non-traditional ways to overcome pain and has seen the effectiveness of using osteopathic manipulation for pain relief.
To stay healthy and happy, Geetha loves to go on long hikes with her family, do kickboxing, and travel. Her family also volunteers at a local homeless shelter serving lunches or distributing meals at a nearby encampment. Geetha earned her medical degree at Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine before completing her residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Medical Hospital. She’s board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine.
