John Keaney, MD
New York
Doctor of Medicine, a common medical school degree for physicians. MDs at One Medical typically specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics or pediatrics.
I completed my medical training in both pediatrics and adult medicine because I enjoy forming longitudinal relationships with patients and collaborating with them in shared decision-making to address their health goals in an evidence-based manner. I have a particular interest in helping patients manage their chronic conditions and empowering them with knowledge about their specific conditions and overall health. Given my combined training in internal medicine and pediatrics, I am also interested in providing quality primary care for those diagnosed with chronic conditions in childhood that continue to have an impact across the lifespan (e.g., autism, congenital cardiac conditions, survivors of childhood cancer).

How I stay healthy and happy
My partner and I enjoy playing tabletop games and expanding our collection of board games and party games. We also love to explore different cultures and cuisines through travel, trying new restaurants, and experimenting in the kitchen. The audio that gets me through my gym routines fluctuates between podcasts recapping the latest news in basketball and reality TV, as well as audiobooks centered on 20th-century history or the history of medicine.
